Geoff Riggs
Horse racing has been in my blood since birth. Literally. I was born May 6 1990 in Louisville, KY, the day after Unbridled won the Kentucky Derby. My parents did not let that stop them from hosting their annual Derby Party! Growing up in Louisville with Derby season overlapping my birthday every year, my interest was sparked from a young age. The first time I visited historic Churchill Downs and felt the unique aura of that place, I was hooked for good.
Fast forward to high school and college- I was at the track any chance I could get. I definitely lost more money than I won, but the challenge of handicapping races combined with the beauty of the animals led me to take the game more seriously.
I have recently achieved a lifelong goal of horse ownership, with a fantastic partnership in Brilliant Racing. Managed by some of the brightest minds in the industry, it has already been an incredible experience, and I can’t wait to see where the journey takes us next.
